Haworthia Cooperi is a unique little succulent known for its plump, translucent leaves that form attractive rosettes. The rounded leaf tips have a glass-like appearance, allowing light to pass through—giving it the nickname “Window Haworthia.” It’s compact, slow-growing, and an excellent choice for bright indoor spaces.
🌱 Light: Bright, indirect light. A few hours of gentle morning sun is beneficial, but avoid intense afternoon sunlight.
💧 Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly, then allow excess water to drain away. Reduce watering during winter.
🌡️ Temperature: Prefers 18–27°C and should be protected from frost and prolonged cold.
💦 Humidity: Average household humidity is perfectly suitable. Avoid excessively humid conditions with poor airflow.
🪴 Soil: Use a very well-draining succulent or cactus mix. Adding extra perlite, pumice, or coarse sand can improve drainage.
🌿 Growth: Stays compact, generally reaching around 5–10 cm tall, and produces offsets around the base that can eventually form a lovely cluster.
🐾 Pet Friendly: Generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs.
⭐ Care Tip: The biggest mistake with Haworthia is overwatering. Its thick leaves store water, so it's much happier being a little too dry than sitting in consistently wet soil.
