Treats: spidermite, early stages of thrips, fungus gnats and anything as small as mites.
We now offer the mix pack of the hypo and n.cucu so that you can have full coverage from leaves to soil. Our mix mites contains Stratiolaelaps scimitus (aka Hypo) and N. Cucumeris.
HYPO (Available in Mix pack or Separate): These are soil dwellers meaning they like to hunt in soil. They eat away debris, algae, eggs, larvae and early stages of pests. Mainly Thrips larvae that falls into the soil, Spider mites, and Fungus Gnats. They will lay eggs in the soil repopulating their species. As long as the soil is not changed or flooded then they should last as long as that. Application: Water your plant first then sprinkle ½-1 tsp onto anywhere in the soil. Size of mites is equivalent to sugar granules, nearly invisible. Orange to light brown in colour
N.CUCU (Available in Mix pack or Separate): These live on the stem and leaves of the plant. They hunt along the plant crawling from one plant to another. They can also sleep on the underside of the leaves. Great for eggs and early stages of thrips, mites and gnats. Lives for 4-6 weeks and is dust size, nearly invisible. Application: Water the plant and apply ½-1 tsp close to the stem.
For prevention put the mix pack in for the long term as they will treat the eggs and early stages. Then just reapply (4-6 weeks). Half is good for 20-30 plants, Full is good for 40-60 plants
P.S. if you wish to not mix it into the soil, you can place them in cups and sit it on top of soil. This will allow them to com out on their own.
For Infestation, check out Green Lacewings.
