Cliff Cotyledon is a striking succulent prized for its thick, fleshy leaves and sculptural growth habit. The leaves can range from green to blue-green and often develop attractive red or reddish-purple edges when exposed to plenty of light. Its unusual form makes it a great choice for succulent collections and sunny windowsills.
🌱 Light: Bright light to several hours of direct sunlight. Gradually acclimate the plant to stronger sun to prevent leaf burn.
💧 Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let excess water drain away. Water less frequently during winter.
🌡️ Temperature: Prefers warm conditions around 18–27°C. Protect from frost and prolonged cold.
💦 Humidity: Average household humidity is ideal. Avoid overly humid conditions and poor airflow.
🪴 Soil: Use a gritty, fast-draining succulent or cactus mix. Extra perlite, pumice, or coarse material can help prevent soggy roots.
🌿 Growth: A branching succulent that can become quite sculptural with age. Under good conditions, it may produce tall flower stalks topped with attractive, hanging bell-shaped flowers.
🐾 Pet Safety: Toxic if ingested, particularly to dogs and livestock. Keep away from pets and children.
⭐ Care Tip: Let the plant dry thoroughly between waterings. Bright light + excellent drainage + a light hand with water will help keep Cliff Cotyledon compact and healthy.
